Sharp Edge Tester

ASTM-8200 (WG-LB) sharp edge tester is used to determine whether the edge of toys or objects is unreasonable.
The sharp edge of the danger of injury - commonly known as a knife (fast) edge.
Meet the criteria:
ASTM F963 4.8, EN71-1998 8.14, GB6675-2003 A.5.9, 16CFR 1500.4
Usage method:
1. Roll a circle of TFE adhesive paper on the edge tester head, and the overlap size can not exceed 0.1 in (0.25 mm).
2. The tested edge of the fixed sample is not movable and bent.
3. When the position of the toy's touching edge is not enough for experiment, the sample should be removed to test, but if it is removed, it will be tested.
The hardness can be hardened by other objects, but the supporting area can not be larger than that of the tested objects.
4. The angle between the tester and the testing edge is 90 [+5].
5. The contact point between the edge of the tested object and the adhesive paper should be in the middle of the dispatch of the adhesive paper.
6. The object tested should be tested at its most disadvantageous location.
7. Adjust the edge tester to 1.35 LBS (6N).
8. Apply force upward at the position of the adhesive paper to make the indicator light on. At this time, the force on the test edge is 1.35 LBS.
9. Turn on the edge tester switch to rotate its axis once.
10. Carefully disassemble the adhesive paper. Do not enlarge the cutting size. Measure the cutting length with a steel ruler.
11. If the cut length exceeds 0.5 in (12.5 mm), the test edge is the advantageous edge.
